This rain. It made me shiver more with every drop that fell on the roof. Lightning cracked across the sky and thunder followed.
I groaned and pulled my blanket up over my head, trying to ignore the storm, but it was no use. Every clap of thunder made me flinch and burrow into my covers even further.
Kicking my blanket off my leg, I jumped from my bed and up the stairs, to Gilbert's room. Our bog nipped at my feet as I ran past.
I stopped in front of the door and knocked until it opened.
Gilbert rubbed the sleep out of his eyes, his silver hair tousled.
"What ___?" He said, yawning. Instantly, I felt saddened for disturbing his sleep.
"Big brother...' I was interrupted by the loudest, most horrendous clap of thunder yet. I squeaked and hid my face in the large teddy bear in my arms. "Can I sleep with you?... Please?"
Gilbert scratched the back of his head and sighed inwardly. He knelt down next to me. "Are you scared?" he asked.
I nodded.
He stood and moved aside to let me into his room. It was dark, and that frightened me, but I was even more frightened when lightning lit up the room .I squeezed his hand hard.
"Eins, zwei, d..." Thunder stopped me again. "It's close," I whimpered.
"Just try to fall asleep. It'll be alright."
I nodded and climbed on top of his bed and got under the covers, feeling his weight push the other side of the mattress down.
Another flash. "Eine, zwei, drei, vier, fünf..." More thunder.
With his arm already around me, I shifted closer to my brother, my teddy bear between us, and hid my face in his chest. I sniffled back tears.
"Shhh _____, I'm right here," Gilbert whispered. "It's getting further away."
I closed my eyes, but still found it hard to drift into sleep. Gilbert noticed this though and asked, "what's wrong, ___?"
"Can you sing me a lullaby?" I asked.
Gilbert gave a deep sigh. "For anyone else but you i would say 'nein'. But since you're mein schwester, I will." It took him a second to think of a lullaby he knew before he gently began to sing.
I felt my eye lids get heavy and sleep overtake me. I closed my eyes for the final time that night.

In the morning, the sun shone in through hallway windows, mixed with the sound of birds chirping.
Ludwig was awake and had gone to wake up his sister, ___, to find that she wasn't in her bed.
He closed the door to her bedroom and stalked down the corridor to his other sibling, Gilbert's, room.
When he knocked, there was no answer, so he let himself in.
What Ludwig saw next made him smile brightly. Gilbert had been sprawled out on his bed, a teddy bear laying on his chest. ___ was curled up next to him. Both were fast asleep.
Ludwig gently closed the door, deciding to let them sleep in a while longer.

Falling for the Brother PrussiaxReader
"Luddy! I'm hoooommmmeee!" you cried out dramatically as you let yourself in to your boyfriend's house. And instead of hearing him chuckling at your strange behavior or see him making his way towards you, you got silence.
"Maybe he's asleep?" you mused to yourself as you made your way to his bedroom. Although, he knew you were coming over around this time. You peeked into his room only to not see him and then went to his study. Not there either. Thoroughly confused, you went back downstairs and went to the garage. And he wasn't there either.
Feeling a little annoyed, you re-entered the house and sat down on the stairs, wondering where your
